Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the sexiest of them all?

The Arashi members tell Wink Up magazine who they think are the sexiest members among them. Be prepared to be surprised! (Or not.)

Matsumoto Jun

 

I’m sorry to say this, but there isn’t any member whom I think is sexy! (laughs) But Riida has good muscles, yes? (laughs) It feels like he has the bare minimum number of muscles to move that small body of his. However, they’re of a really good quality. Have I ever experienced the various types of sexiness of the other members? … Not at all! (laughs) You’re referring to instances when I look at the other members and go, “Whoa, that’s sexy!” Right? Not at all, man. Myself? I’ve never thought of myself as being sexy. I mean… How should I go about it? We talked about it just now as well, but I can’t bring myself to think about it conscientiously. Nonetheless, I have been said to possess a slightly above average amount of eroticism. I guess I’m more erotic than your average guy. Hahaha! Well, I definitely don’t think of that as a bad thing.

 

Sakurai Sho

 

The first would have to be Matsujun, right? The reason being? His very existence is sexiness personified, don’t you think? It’s as if when you write the words “Matsumoto Jun”, you read it as “sexy”. (laughs) The second would be Aiba-kun, I guess. I think that Aiba-kun looks sexy when he exits the shower and uses the towel to ruffle and dry his hair. (laughs) Well, the 3^rd place is unexpectedly difficult. 5^th place? That would have to be me, definitely me. You see, everyone in Arashi possesses a high level of sexiness. And for me to be amongst them… (laughs) Nino and Ohno are sexy too. Satoshi-kun is… You know, somehow… He gets into the “zone” at times. When he immerses himself into a character. Somehow, strangely, he becomes manly at times. That’s when I think he’s sexy. The same goes for Nino. I’ve come to like the solo performances during the 5 x 10 concert. I think he’s cool as he’s working the guitar and singing at the same time. The problem is… during that time I’m usually backstage getting changed into my next attire, so I never got to see the performance even once. (laughs) But he was totally cool during the rehearsals. That’s why I’ll be sure to check out that part and enjoy it when I watch the DVD.

 

Aiba Masaki

 

I guess it would have to be Sho-chan right? When he’s wearing a sleeveless top. (laughs) His muscles are really sturdy! They’re rock solid, which makes it amazing. Another person would be Matsujun when he’s wearing slender underwear. I think that’s sexy. Don’t you agree? Who comes to your mind when you think of someone who can pull off something tight and skinny? It would have to be Matsujun, yes? I guess yet another example would be Riida and the way he descends from the steps. (laughs) During a live performance, he walks down the steps in a sexy manner, without a single hitch. As for Nino… Recently we went to eat yakiniku together. He’s super at barbequing meat. He’s the type who does it so well. He tosses the meat over the grill and uses the tong to flip it repeatedly. At that moment, I think his face is really sexy. (laughs) And… myself? I’m ranked the lowest, right? I don’t really have muscles. When I tried to flex my arms during the photo shoot just now, the line of my arm was totally straight. Eh? That’s just how little muscle I have? If one has sturdy muscles, it would make him strong in arm wrestling, right?

 

Ohno Satoshi

 

The first place would go to Matsujun. Those eyes… His eyes are erotic, right? You could say that he has a come-hither look. I won’t be able to pull off a come-hither look, not with my eyes. (laughs) Only Matsujun can. Next in line would be… Now this is difficult. I guess Sho-kun and Aiba-chan are on the same level? If I had to put it in words… They are alike, aren’t they? The type of sexiness which they possess. Ah! You know, for Nino, when he forgets his clothes, rather than saying that he’s occasionally sexy, you could describe him as cool and refreshing! I don’t really get this… (laughs) Eh… Do I have to rank myself too? I don’t have a single element of sex appeal in me. Although I was called sexy in the past, when I was in my teens. (laughs) That was when I kept pushing my fringe upwards as I was dancing. It was a bad habit I developed because of my long fringe, so the fans commented about that. Right now… all the elements of any sex appeal I have are slowly diminishing. (laughs) Just like in today’s photo shoot… I had no idea how to go about posing. Somehow, I’m really terrible, I just don’t have an aptitude for this. (laughs)

 

Ninomiya Kazunari

 

Coming in first by a far stretch is Satoshi. [Translator’s note: Nino calls Riida “Satoshi”!] Right. The rest simply can’t keep up. Well, the members don’t really work out that rigorously, but I guess Satoshi is normal, as expected. His muscles are really soft, which is great. And if I had to choose someone to be in 2^nd place? I guess it would be Sho. Sho is, you know, really smooth. (laughs) It’s almost as if he’s a long and flowing river. Further upstream, there’s jutting rocks along the river’s edge, but as you follow the river’s meander, the rocks becomes smooth later on downstream. That’s the kind of smoothness I’m trying to evoke. Eh… Myself? Well, I would put myself in 1^st place. Honestly. So when I did the ranking I left myself out. So this ranking is a compromise amongst all other compromises, of course!

I enjoyed reading this. Sho has a way of describing the others' sexiness and I find it sexy. LOL. He has a way with words. Poor Aiba and Ohno thought of themselves last. How come? Aiba has a very sexy way of looking at the camera. And so is Ohno. I laughed at how Nino described the sexiness of the other members. What's with the metaphors? Really cute. I love how Japanese guys can talk about other guys sex appeal without feeling uncomfortable (not just the fact that Arashi love eachother, which we already know, hehe). The other day we were talking about Arashi and one of my guy friends said the best member was Aiba, so I was like "Oh, because he's funny?" I figured coming from a guys perspective that might be the point he would like, but he was like "No, he has the best face", what he had meant to say was that Aiba was the best looking!
