Jun totally deserved that.
I first heard Oguri Shun and Kusanagi Tsuyoshi mention this on SMAP x SMAP, read the first chapter and I got hooked! Let's see if my enthusiasm will continue... I've been looking for good Shonen Jump manga so this looks promising.
Synopsis:
With the space program attempting to travel to Mars, 21st century scientists were tasked with warming up the planet so that humans could survive on its surface. They came up with an efficient and cost effective plan of sending cockroaches and mold to the surface so that the mold would absorb the sunlight and the insect corpses would serve as a food source for the mold.
It is now the year 2577 and the first manned ship to Mars has landed on the planet and the six crew members are ready for their mission. But what they find are giant mutated humanoid cockroaches with incredible physical strength. The crew members are easily wiped out, but not before sending a transmission back to Earth. Now, humanity will send elite warriors to exterminate the mutated bugs and claim back Mars.

Psychiatrist Washiya Mariko (Matsuyuki Yasuko) turned out to be the anchor of the film as she struggles to unravel the mystery that is the Brain Man, who goes by the name of Suzuki Ichiro. Implicated in a series of bombing cases, Suzuki (portrayed by Ikuta Toma) is identified as the main suspect by detective Chaya (portrayed by veteran actor Eguchi Yosuke).
It also doesn't hurt that the movie has some beautiful cinematography.

I have yet to watch a single episode of Summer Nude (and I wasn't planning to).
Now I might be forced to watch it just to catch the in-jokes on SMAP x SMAP. And I think Nino rocked the Baka Tono better, although I think Goro is the better actor.

I got off my lazy ass to do some shooting around the neighborhood today. Initially I had wanted to do a collection of the stray cats in the neighborhood, but apparently animal control was more effective than I thought. I only managed to find 3, plus a few other older photos I took. Here goes nothing.

In translation, the destination language will always require more words than the source language
- This might be old news to professional translators, but this concept hit like a bolt of lightning when they said it. A society will naturally shape their language to make common topics efficient to communicate. So, when these words go into another language, they will require greater verbiage to fill in the context built into the source society’s language.
- An example of how this breaks down is a word like ‘Yoroshiku’. This one word in Japanese becomes oppressively dense in English: I will be kind to you and am requesting that you also be kind to me so we can interact successfully.
If you want to create media, ingest media
- Those planning to work in film need to watch heaps of films.
- Those planning to write, be it scripts or subtitles, need to be constantly reading.

I'll never get tired of watching this series. It's an "Arashi Grows Up" story and I loved how their rowing demonstrated their personalities. I was so moved that I even wrote a lengthy review here. MMA was such a great show, I hope to see it revived in some form in the future.
