barbosa2007I kind of miss these interviews where people just ask Arashi mindless things and they give totally random answers. It’s easy to translate! Not to mention lots of fun to read.

TV Life sits down with the Arashi members and asks them to reveal a secret about the others.
Reveal the members’ secrets!
Nino’s version:
Leader’s secret: I wonder what Ohno-san has been up to lately… He’s sleeping as usual in the green room, but if I were to say that, it goes the same for everybody else. I’ll keep in mind to watch up more carefully next time. (laughs)
Sho-san’s secret: You know, Sho-san, he’s been doing promotions for his movie quite often these days. It’s come to the point where I catch him on shows and I go, “Oh, Sho-san is even on this show too!” In Arashi’s TV shows we wear shirts to support him too. (laughs)
Aiba-san’s secret: I have the latest news coming in. Right now, he’s beside me choosing his bento. If I were to add a tidbit, Aiba-kun likes karaage (fried chicken). That’s why he took a side of karaage along with his bento. (laughs)
Jun-kun’s secret: He seems to be making his own meals, I often catch him bringing them on set. He doesn’t serve it up like a bento, but still, it’s pretty amazing. However, I haven’t tasted any of it yet.
Jun’s version:
Leader’s secret: It seems that Leader has been going fishing often with Kato Shigeaki from NEWS. According to him [Kato], “I’ve never seen Ohno-kun take any preventive measures against sunburn.” Shocking, isn’t it? (laughs)
Sho-kun’s secret: As soon as the day became August the 30th, Sho-san sent me a text saying, “Happy Birthday~” I think that was after the live broadcast of ZERO, so I appreciated that concern.
Aiba-san’s secret: Just a while ago, Aiba-san gave me my birthday present. There were 2 T-shirts. One of them had some sort of American comic book design, while the other had a character printed on it. That made me happy.
Nino’s secret: Recently Nino has been texting me a lot. Stuff like, “What are you doing now?” or “It seems like a staff member I know is going to be on the same set as you are so do take care of him.” I probably converse the most with Nino these days.
Ohno’s version:
Sho-kun’s secret: Recently, after I had appeared on 24H TV, I got a text saying “I watched it!” When I took a picture of myself in Kaibutsu-kun’s clothes and texted him back, somehow I got a photo of Sho-kun in a weird outfit in return. (laughs)
Aiba-chan’s secret: It seems like he’s pretty hooked on fishing. I mean, he comes up to me all excited and saying, “Recently, I went to that ocean, Leader!” (laughs) Someday I would like to go together with him too.
Nino’s secret: Now that I’ve come to think about it, Nino hasn’t been playing with magic lately. He may be showing his tricks somewhere else, but he might have stopped doing it in front of us. Well, I didn’t ask him in particular… Maybe he’s tired of it? (laughs)
Matsujun’s secret: He’s been controlling his diet. He often brings stuff like onigiri in a plastic container to the set and eats it often. Me? It’s not particularly tempting. (laughs)
Sho’s version:
Leader’s secret: He basically lives off shirts which he gets from people. Today he’s wearing the artist Nara Yoshitomo-san’s shirt. He also wears the shirt that he got from Aiba-san pretty often. He wears his gift shirts all year round. (laughs)
Aiba-kun’s secret: On the radio, he claimed, “I can do an impersonation of Youn-a!” It was something like a line from a CM, but it totally did not sound like her. It was a pity that it ended up not being broadcasted. (laughs)
Nino’s secret: Even for a sleepover, he brings the smallest bag ever. It’s almost the size of a pouch. Either he doesn’t have a big bag, or he’s really good at packing. It boggles the mind. If it were me, I could never get all my stuff in.
Matsujun’s secret: He’s taking on the role of a boxer for his upcoming stage play, so it seems like he’s been preparing his body. Instead of eating his meals, he’s just eating almonds all the time. Although I have no idea what’s so great about almonds. (laughs)
Aiba’s version:
Leader’s secret: I have this feeling that Ohno-san owns a whole lot of the same kind of underwear. They’re the same cut and color. When we’re changing, I noticed and went, “Ah, I wonder how many of those does he own?” (laughs)
Sho-chan’s secret: If Matsujun were eating nattou*, Sho-chan would be eating boiled eggs. The kind that you buy at the convenience stores. Although I don’t see him every day, he often eats them during our waiting time. It feels more like a snack, rather than a side dish, I guess?
*Nattou: Fermented beans.
Nino’s secret: I have this hunch that Nino’s been doing sit-ups often. He’s been drilling himself during the concert rehearsals. As to whether it’s for building up his stamina… Please ask the person in question yourself. (laughs)
Matsujun’s secret: Matsujun often eats nattou. He eats them just like that without putting them on top of rice. (laughs) I’ve seen him eat a pack a day before, so he must be eating them at home too right? I think he consumes a considerable amount of nattou.
