Suzuki Fuku takes a shot at a fashion show! “I was able to do my best thanks to Anne-san”
Twenty looks were selected from the Spring/Summer collection from Armani Junior, the children’s clothing line conceptualized by Italian designer Giorgio Armani. The looks were displayed in a show on 3 February at the Roppongi Hills Café and popular child actor Suzuki Fuku-kun took to the stage as a guest model.
Having formed a unit with Ashida Mana, “Kaoru and Tomoki, Tama ni Mook”, the unit was granted the “Five Best Songs by Download” award, and also guest starring in the movie “Doraemon Nobita to Kiseki no Shima ~Animal Adventure~”, Fuku-kun has been active in various fields this year. This being his first attempt at a fashion show, he was slightly nervous at first. However, once he was on the stage, he displayed a magnificent walk and hyped up the crowd at the event.
After the event, when we asked Fuku-kun about his thoughts on his first attempt as a model, he commented, “Although I was really nervous, I tried my best by thinking that I was in a hero show. When I struck the Kamen Rider transformation pose during my walk, I felt great.”
When we continued to ask him which he felt was more difficult, acting or modeling, he gave a surprising episode which occurred behind the scenes. “Both are tough, but modeling might be more difficult. This time, right before the actual show, my co-star Anne-san sent me a supportive message, saying, ‘If I enjoyed the show, everyone else would enjoy it too.’” Thanks to that, I was somehow able to do my best.”
When we asked again, “After taking part in this show, have you started to taken an interest in fashion?” “My clothes have always been chosen by my dad, mom or sister. Even when I go to a store, I don’t really choose my own clothing. More than clothes, I really want Kamen Rider toys right now.” As he replied, the hall was enveloped in laughter.
