I'm so freaking excited about this, I scare myself sometimes. 

Things to watch out in this video: 
- Kenshin's "Oro?"
- Eguchi Yosuke as Saitoh Hajime
- Sword fighting badass action

You gotta love the tagline for this movie: 優しいヤツほど気をつけろ

"You gotta beware of gentle guys like him."

When I first heard about the movie I was hesitant about wanting to see it, but now that I've seen the trailer I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Yeah, it's one of those things that because you love the original so much, you really hope that they don't screw up the adaptation. I'm really pleased with how the trailer turned out though!

i'm ridiculously excited about this too. once i read that there was talks for a movie, i got all stoked! i like sato takeru, so it works for me. ohhh the trailer. so far away, i wanna run to japan so i can watch it <3

RK is one of those childhood loves that I hope movie producers get right, otherwise I would really be annoyed. I haven't watched many of Sato Takeru's work but I liked his one-off appearance in Mr Brain, Kimutaku's drama.

I wanna fly to Japan too, but it's probably coming to theaters here since there's fans around.

same here. it's what first got me interested in manga and anime a long looooong time ago lol. yeah, he was great in Mr. Brain. i like him, was skeptical about him playing the part at first, but it seems he's able to show that gentleness that kenshin has. well, thats what it seems like from the trailer at least. but i could be wrong. gotta wait till i see it. those fighting scenes, i'm looking so froward to that especially.
yeah you're probably right, there is quite a fanbase in places other than japan.

It was said that there's an international release slated, and they will be adding English, Chinese, French and Spanish subs to the movie. I think in part, it's also due to the popularity of the anime in those days. I remember it airing in English on the Animax channel in my country.

Fighting scenes are looking AWESOME. They even did that crazy Hiten Mitsurugi Ryuu super sonic speed thing. And Saitoh's Gatotsu! I am so stoked. Can't wait. GAH.
