Or that. Recently I bought some high-heels in anticipation of spring (or whatever they try to pass it as here in the UK) and realized that they have all five colours in them. Now I am seriously wondering whether my mind subconsciously made me buy them because of several years of exposure to Arashi colour-coding...

But I actually like the colour-coding thing - it's like an adult version of shapes and colours lessons. Yet it makes me wonder whether the members get fed up with it or whether they just don't even care anymore. Or maybe colour now equals automatic ownership of things, i.e. if it is purple (and has some bling) it's Jun's. And I still remember my utter confusion when Matsujun and Aiba used to switch colours, depending on the TV channel they were on, quite some time ago (I think NTV had a different version...?).

I'm pretty sure the color coding thing was a marketing ploy by JE executives. How else would they convince fans to buy "Ohno" ear jacks without his face printed on them? I also remember that Ohno recently mentioned that he likes black while Jun likes navy blue, which aren't outstanding colors that JE could possibly market.

I personally like the color coding because they've used it to good effect in concerts.

I wouldn't be completely surprised. "Now that they all believe that rainbows have only five colours, let's make them want to buy clothes with every single of those colours in them." Cue manic laughter.
It would also explain why I bought those shoes, since even outside of the office I rarely leave my black-grey-beige color-scheme. Next I will probably start bedazzling everything. Oh well.
