After all that fuss about Platinum Data...
Sep. 8th, 2013 01:00 amI found Toma's No Otoko to be better.
Psychiatrist Washiya Mariko (Matsuyuki Yasuko) turned out to be the anchor of the film as she struggles to unravel the mystery that is the Brain Man, who goes by the name of Suzuki Ichiro. Implicated in a series of bombing cases, Suzuki (portrayed by Ikuta Toma) is identified as the main suspect by detective Chaya (portrayed by veteran actor Eguchi Yosuke).

It also doesn't hurt that the movie has some beautiful cinematography.

Date: 2013-09-08 09:30 am (UTC)At least it makes more sense that the novel was a bestseller while the movie didn't live up to expectations at the box office. Don't get me wrong, the results were rather spectacular, but I was expecting it to do better with the male audience.
