barbosa2007Part 2 of Kuroki Meisa's guesting on HnA. In which an Arashi member angers Riida with his comment, and Meisa reveals her literally kick-ass hobby and special skill.
Jun: Let’s go with “No. 1 in the Entertainment Industry”! It means that she’s number one for something in the entertainment industry, right?
Sho: That’s right.
Jun: Let’s go. Ranked first for “Female Celebrities who can emote with their eyes”
Sho: You’ve been told that often?
Meisa: I do.
Sho: I’m sure you do. She has a piercing gaze.
Jun: Do you have a certain image in your mind when you emote with your eyes?
Meisa: No, not at all! I was born with this!
Nino: So it’s like this normally?
Meisa: This is how I am usually. That’s why when I keep silent, people thought I was angry. So I was younger I used to dislike my eyes.
Matsushima: If you keep looking at a person in the eyes while talking, does that person avert his gaze?
Meisa: That’s right. I tend to always look at their eyes. They probably thought that I was glaring at them. When I listen attentively to someone I tend to look at the person intensely.
Nino: What does it mean when a person is said to emote with his eyes? Who here thinks he has a penetrating gaze?
Aiba: I mean, the eyes…
Nino: Oh right, show us a penetrating gaze then.
Aiba: [does an Antoki no Inoki impression]
Nino: [shoves him slightly] Your chin!
Sho:
Nino: Why did your chin have to stick out?
Aiba: My chin came out, somehow!
Sho: Why did you have to do that?
Nino: A penetrating gaze differs, depending on the person.
Sho: Try it, Ohno-san!
Nino: Show us a penetrating gaze.
Ohno: [does an Antoki no Inoki impression]
Sho: Matsumoto-kun, let’s have a look at Matsumoto-kun’s penetrating gaze.
Matsushima: His seems to be the most penetrating!
Jun: [does a penetrating gaze]
Sho: It is! He could go to the extent of sticking out his chin!
Aiba: If we went to that extent our chins would stick out.
Sho: What’s with you Ohno-san?
Nakajima: Moving on, Ninomiya-kun, please peel off a question.
Nino: Alright! “In front of her boyfriend…”
Jun: Looks good!
Nino: In front of her boyfriend, she would like to rely on him.
Aiba: Eh? You would like to rely on him.
Jun: If we looked at your usual image, it seems like you’re a self-reliant person.
Sho: A very level headed person.
Jun: It seems that way, but in actual fact…

Jun: Do you say things like, “Would you please?” Something like, like… [pats Sho’s shoulder affectionately. Sho takes on an innocent look.]
Matsushima: I want to see this!
Jun: This is making me embarrassed!
Sho: Hold on there! So do you do stuff like, “Ne~ Ne~”
*I can’t seem to find a literal translation for this, but when a girl says this she is trying to get the attention of someone in a coy manner.
Meisa: Totally.
Jun: Do you confess your love to others?
Nino: You do, right?
Meisa: I can’t, not at all!
Nino: Are you serious?!
Meisa: It’s a confession of love!
Nino: It is a confession of love by Kuroki Meisa!
Meisa: I don’t… I can’t!
Matsushima: How about making an appeal?
Meisa: If I keep quiet… I’m actually shy and reserved in front of strangers, so if a person whom I like is next to me I keep pretty quiet. But if I keep quiet, [he] would think that I’m angry, so I try to smile at least. Constantly.
Everyone: [laughs]
Sho: That’s cute! It’s pretty cute!
Jun: At least…
Sho: You would like to rely on someone right? Would you like to fawn upon others?
Meisa: People have said that I behave like a spoiled child. [points to herself]
Sho: [mimics Meisa, talking in a silly grown up tone] People have said that I behave like a spoiled child! There’s no spoilt child that would look this cool!
Naka: Alright Aiba-kun, please do us the honor!
Aiba: Let’s look at her special skill!
Nino: Sounds good!
Aiba: Going with the special skill! And it is… Satsu-jin.
*Aiba mispronounces the word on the board as Satsu-jin, which means “murder”. The word is supposed to be pronounced as Ta-te, meaning “sword fighting.”
Everyone: [bursts out laughing]
Nino: I KNEW you were going to do that! Let’s go.
[Aiba looks embarrassed, which is pretty cute to me.]
Nino: To think that Kuroki Meisa’s special skill is “satsu-jin”! (murder)
Aiba: I wonder how many people she did in…
Jun: The kanji is different! The satsu-jin that Aiba-san knows…
Sho: [he is uncontrollable at this point] A genius has appeared!
Nino: Is that true?
Meisa: Sword fighting… There was a period where I went to JAC (Japan Action Club).
Sho: Oh you attended.
Meisa: That’s right. And that was the impetus for me to learn sword fighting.
Sho: I once went to see a stage play of yours, and I had the impression that you really moved around a lot!
Ohno: That’s right. I went with Sho-kun!
Sho: Did we go together?
Ohno: WE DID GO TOGETHER!
Jun: Well, well, that’s good, isn’t it?
Naka: Is he a relative? [meaning to say that Ohno is speaking like an uncle again.]
Aiba: [in between chuckles] He’s really mad!
Nino: It’s okay, right? Nothing to be angry about!
Ohno: And I sat BESIDE YOU!
Naka: You would feel a little lonely! In any case, since Meisa took the trouble to come today, we would like for her to show us her special skill in sword fighting! Please do us the honor!
