Maou review (part 4)

Scene 4: Ohno reminiscences his brother’s death

 

[Somewhere Over the Rainbow plays in the background.]

 

“Hideo!” cries Ohno’s mother.

 

“The person who first held the knife in his hand was the victim. Out of self-defense, Serizawa Naoto simply struggled against the victim. Hence he should be acquitted due to legal self-defense.”

 

We return to the present where Ohno is sitting in the living room, lost in his thoughts.

 

He carefully places the harmonica back into the music box and abruptly closes the cover. His eyes gleam with unshed tears as it continues to rain outside.

 


This was the first time “Over the Rainbow” cast chills down my spine. Literally.

Yes ... I would never have associated the Wizard of Oz with a plot for revenge, but even now years later, I can't hear it without thinking of Maou.

I am loving your Maou posts so very much. Very uhmmm natsukashii! ^_^
