On March 17th, it was announced that popular child actor Suzuki Fuku (7) will star in TBS‘ new drama series ‘Kodomo Keisatsu‘

In the drama, Suzuki will play a middle-aged veteran detective at the special investigation division of the Kanagawa Prefectural Police Department whose body transformed into that of a child by breathing in a special gas when he chased after an evil organization named ‘Red Venus’.

GOOD GRIEF. Fuku-kun's styling reminds me of Shimada Shinsuke for some reason. I'm really having mixed feelings about this drama. The plot has so many similar elements with Detective Conan: 1) Child detective 2) Detective was originally an adult 3) Body became that of a child's due to a poison 4) Poisoning occurred when chasing after an Evil Organization 5) Female companion who also suffers the same fate

Please don't let this end up as a parody capitalizing on the popularity of these child actors.
